ZiO and other card reader issues Yesterday we reported problems with the ZiO card reader under Mac OS X 10.3.2. Some users report that that they had to contact the ZiO technical support team to obtain a private driver download link. One reader writes 'After upgrading to Panther, I also lost the functionality of my ZiO! SmartMedia card reader. I contacted ZioCorp and they responded with a private link to a new driver that fixed the problem for me. They stressed that it was a beta driver and, therefore, was not officially supported.'

Detlev Vogler writes 'The same phenomenon occurs for me with OS 10.3.2 on a 12' G4 PowerBook, using the Viking IntelliFlash USB Flash Memory Reader (model no. RFLREAD/U). The latest driver software installer on the Viking site is v. 10.1, which installs drivers that work with Mac OS X through version 10.2.8, but cease to work with 10.3.2. There is no word at the Viking website to indicate whether or not they are planning to upgrade the driver software.'

Other reports indicate problems with more USB 2.0 smart card readers, but not with USB 1.1 smart card readers.

Hi,
If the card reader will not work under Windows 7 its probably best to buy a new card reader
which is not expensive. Of course make sure its Windows 7 compatible with your 32 or 64
bit version.

What version of Windows do you use?
Windows 7 compatibility center says that the device is compatible with 32-bit Windows 7, and that Microsoft is working with the manufacturer to confirm 64-bit compatibility. Refer to the below link for more information.

Maybe your are right that is the one they have however after I checked the Compatibiliy
Center and also found that one I thought that if they had a CameraMate they would have
said. So I believed that the one they have is one of these which may not work on Windows 7.
